Nevada 76, Idaho 68
RENO, Nev. (AP)-- Luke Babbitt scored 19 points and Armon Johnson added 17 to lead Nevada to a 76-68 win over Idaho on Saturday night.
Babbitt also grabbed nine rebounds for the Wolf Pack (11-7, 3-2 WAC), while Joey Shaw finished with 15 points and Brandon Fields scored 14.
Mac Hopson finished with 16 points to lead the Vandals (8-8, 1-4 WAC). Steffan Johnson had 13 points and Luiz Toledo added 12.
Nevada led 45-39 with 16:50 left before going on a 10-2 run over the next four minutes.
Ray Kraemer's 3-pointer with about 12 minutes to go put the Wolf Pack up 55-41. Idaho could get no closer than nine points the rest of the way.
The Vandals led 21-11 midway through the first half before the Wolf Pack responded with a 25-9 run to close out the period leading 36-30. Johnson had 10 points during the run and Babbit had 8.
Utah State 81, Boise State 59
LOGAN, UTAH (AP)-- Brian Green scored a career-high 14 points on 5-of-7 shooting to lead Utah State past Boise State 81-59 Saturday night.
Tai Wesley scored 13 and grabbed seven rebounds for the Aggies (13-6, 3-2 Western Athletic Conference), while Jared Quayle, Brady Jardine and Tyler Newbold added 10.
Boise State (9-10, 0-6 WAC) was led by Robert Arnold with 12 points.
After trailing 42-25 at half, Boise State went on an 11-2 run to open the second half, closing to within eight, 44-36, with 15:05 to play. That was as close as the Broncos could get as USU shot 52.6 percent from the field in the game, and BSU shoot 40.8 percent.
USU held Ike Okeye, BSU's leading scorer, to eight points.
Boise State tied the game 7-7 early in the first half, before USU went on an extended run, highlighted by Green shooting 3 of 4 from the 3-point line. Green ended the half with 12.
New Mexico State 86, Fresno State 77
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP)-- Jahmar Young scored 26 points and Jonathan Gibson added 25 as New Mexico State earned an 86-77 victory over Fresno State on Saturday night.
In the second half, the Aggies (11-7, 4-1 WAC) were 8 of 16 from 3-point range and outscored Fresno State 52-34.
Sylvester Seay led the Bulldogs (10-9, 3-2) with 22 points, and Mike Ladd added 15.
A 19-1 run, which included three 3-pointers by Young and two by Gibson, put New Mexico State up 69-54 with 9:45 remaining.
The Bulldogs closed to within three on a Greg Smith follow with 1:01 left, but a Gibson driving layup and two Young free throws sealed the win for the Aggies.
