Boise State 75, San Jose State 53
Tasha Harris scored a game-high 21 points to lead Boise State to its first WAC victory of the season defeating San Jose State 75-53 Wednesday night in Taco Bell Arena in Boise. With the win, the Broncos improve to 12-6 overall and 1-3 in WAC play. The Spartans fall to 4-13 on the season and 0-4 in the conference.
 
Boise State shot 47 percent from the floor, 28 percent from three-point range and 73 percent from the free throw line. San Jose State countered by hitting 39 percent from the floor, 17 percent from long range and 73 percent from the charity stripe. Boise State out-rebounded the Spartans 38-30 and held a 25-7 advantage in second chance points. The Broncos also dominated the paint, outscoring the visitors 42-18 down low.

Rebecca Kepilino added a season-high 14 points and seven rebounds, while Melissa Rima chipped in 10 points, seven boards, two blocks and two steals.

San Jose State was led by Chasity Shavers with 17 points and three rebounds. Shaunna Ridge and Samantha Marez followed with 11 points each, and Ridge had a team-high seven rebounds.


Idaho 68, New Mexico State 65
Idaho came from behind to stun the host New Mexico State Aggies, 68-65, Wednesday at the Pan American Center

With the win, the Vandals improve to 4-13 overall and 2-2 in the WAC. NM State falls to 12-7 overall and 2-3 in league play.

Idaho shot 49 percent from the field, 33 percent from three-point range and 61 percent from the free throw line. NMSU hit 42 percent from the field and a blazing 52 percent from three-point range, but only made six trips to the charity stripe and converted two after the Vandals committed a season-low seven fouls.

Rachele Kloke and Yinka Olorunnife led the balanced Idaho attack with 14 points apiece, while Bianca Cheever added 13, Shaena Kuehu had 12 and Charlotte Otero dropped in 10 points. Kuehu also led the Vandals with eight rebounds.

Danisha Corbett led the Aggies with 19 points. Jasmine Lowe added 12 points, while Tabytha Wampler posted eight points and grabbed a team-high 11 rebounds.
