DENVER - Boise State's Amber Boucher and Fresno State's Stacey Luke were named the Verizon Wireless Western Athletic Conference swimmer and diver of the week, respectively, for Jan. 18-24.

Boucher, a sophomore from Keizer, Ore. (McNary HS), swam season bests in both the 100-yard butterfly and 50 free in helping the Broncos to a dual meet win over in-state rival Idaho on Saturday.  Boucher's time of 23.38 in the 50 free is the fastest by any WAC swimmer this year.  She later broke her own school-record with a time of 55.59 in the 100 fly.  Boucher was also a member of both the 200 medley and 400 free winning relays.

Luke, a freshman from Kenmore, Wash. (Inglemoor HS), competed at the Beach Cup in Los Angeles on Saturday and won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving events.  She scored a career-high 250.70 on the 1-meter to win by 24 points and a 252.10 on the 3-meter to win by 39 points in dominating both boards.

Other swimmers nominated: Heidi Gjoen, Fresno State; Sarah Gleason, San Diego; and Heather Denman, San Jose State.

Other divers nominated: Amanda Burnett, Boise State; and Amanda Morrow, Idaho.
