Utah State 66, Louisiana Tech 63
Scoring six of the final nine points of the game, Utah State notched a historic 69-66 win over Louisiana Tech Wednesday at the Thomas Assembly Center in Ruston, La. The win was the Aggies' first-ever against the Lady Techsters.

With the victory, Utah State wins its fifth-straight game for the first time since opening the 1978-79 season with five wins. The Aggies improve to 9-5 overall and 1-0 in WAC play. Louisiana Tech had its five-game winning streak come to an end and falls to 9-4 overall and 0-1 in WAC play.

The Aggies shot 41 percent (24-of-58) from the field, 50 percent from three-point range (7-of-14) and 74 percent from the charity stripe (14-of-19). The Lady Tecshters shot 37 percent (23-of-62) from the field, 42 percent (5-of-12) from downtown and 68 percent (15-of-22) from the free throw line. The Lady Techsters out-rebounded the Aggies 50-31 in the loss.

The Aggies had four players in double digits in scoring, led by Amber White with 18 points. Alice Coddington added 15 points, Tahara Williams had 14 and LaCale Pringle-Buchanan scored 13 points.

Louisiana Tech was led by Shanavia Dowdell with 17 points and Adrienne Johnson with 16.


New Mexico State 87, Boise State 83 (OT)

New Mexico State opened WAC play with an 87-83 overtime victory over Boise State at the Taco Bell Arena Wednesday evening to pick up its first-ever win at Boise State. The Aggies improve to 11-4 on the season and 1-0 in the conference. Boise State falls to 11-4 on the season and 0-1 in the WAC.

The Aggies shot 48 percent (33-of-69) from the field, 40 percent (8-of-20) from three-point range and 68 percent (13-of-19) from the free throw line on the game. The Broncos, meanwhile, connected on 45 percent (31-of-69) from the field, 45 percent (9-of-20) from downtown and 75 percent (12-of-16) from the charity stripe. Boise State out-rebounded NM State 47-33.

Jasmine Lowe led all scorers with 26 points, while Crystal Boyd added 23 for the Aggies.

Boise State was by Tasha Harris with her second double-double of the season, posting 23 points and 10 rebounds. Jessica Van Hoogen added 15 points.


Fresno State 83, Hawai'i 42
Fresno State posted its largest margin of victory in a WAC game ever as the Bulldogs defeated Hawai'i 83-42 Wednesday night at the Save Mart Center. With the win, the Bulldogs improve to 10-5 overall and 1-0 in WAC, while the Rainbow Wahine drop to 6-8 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

Fresno State shot 52 percent from the floor while Hawai'i shot 36 percent from the field. The Bulldog defense forced 29 turnovers and had 21 assists.

Jaleesa Ross led the Bulldogs with 18 points on 7-of-10 shooting, including 4-of-5 from three-point tange. Hayley Munro added 12 points off the bench in 16 minutes. Joh-Teena Filipe led the Bulldogs in rebounding with eight.

Keisha Kanekoa paced the Rainbow Wahine with 11 points.


Nevada 64, San Jose State 56
Nevada snapped a three-game losing streak with a 64-56 win at San Jose State Wednesday night. With the win, Nevada improves to 7-8 overall and 1-0 in the WAC, while San Jose State falls to 4-10 overall and 0-1 in WAC play.

Nevada shot 43 percent (22-of-51) from the floor, 41 percent (7-of-17) from three-point range and 68 percent (13-of-19) from the free throw line. San Jose State shot 32 percent (20-of-63) from the field, 21 percent (4-of-19) from downtown and 67 percent (12-of-18) from the charity stripe. The Wolf Pack out-rebounded the Spartans 44-31, marking the eighth straight game this year Nevada has out-rebounded its opponent. 

Shavon Moore led all scorers with 20 points, while Tahnee Robinson scored 19 and Nicole Williams added 10. Moore and Kayla Williams each recorded seven rebounds.

Shaunna Ridge paced SJSU with 17 points and 11 rebounds for her first double-double of the year. Chasity Shavers added 15 points and Sayja Sumler scored 10.
