DENVER - Boise State's Scott Foley and Kate Jette have been named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference men and women's Cross Country Athletes of the Week, respectively, for the week of Oct. 20 - 26.
Foley, a senior from Cheyenne, Wyo., placed 17th overall with a time of 26:43 at the College of Idaho Coyote Invitational on Oct. 21. Foley claimed the top spot for the Broncos, as his performance helped Boise State claim third in the meet.
Jette, a freshman from Clackamas, Ore., paced Boise State at the Coyote Invite, claiming the top spot for the Broncos for the first time in her career. She finished eighth overall in the race, recording the best time of her collegiate career at 18:58. Jette's performance helped the Boise women claim third place in the meet.
