DENVER - Boise State guard Kati Isham has been named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference women's basketball player of the week for December 20-26.

Isham, a junior from Howe, Idaho (Walla Walla CC), scored a career-high and team season-high 28 points in the Broncos' 80-71victory at Utah Valley on Dec. 20. She also added six rebounds, one assist and two steals in 30 minutes of action. Isham shot 8-of-13 (.615) from the floor, 4-of-6 from three-point range and was a perfect 8-of-8 from the free-throw line. It was her fourth-consecutive game and fifth on the year recording 20-plus points.

The award is the first for Isham in her career and first for a Bronco player this season.

Others nominated included: senior guard Megan Tinnin, Hawai'i; senior forward Yinka Olorunnife, Idaho; senior guard Tahnee Robinson, Nevada; and senior guard Alice Coddington, Utah State.
