Q: Why do you choose to attend Boise State?
A: I loved how Boise State was such a college town. Everyone in the community is so supportive of the student-athletes and is always there to cheer us on. Since I'm away from home, Boise is a safe place for me to be on my own. I got along with the team right away and knew once I left I wanted to sign [a letter of intent].

Q: What has been your most rewarding experience off the court?
A: I'd have to say the fall semester of my sophomore year when I earned a spot on the Dean's List in the Business School.

Q: What do you like to do in your spare time?
A: When I am not at class or on the court, I am either eating, sleeping, or playing with my new puppy Kona. Any time I can eat I usually do, even if it is just a little snack because with a practice schedule like ours we need a lot of fuel. Rest is always good when you are on the go and after practices; it's the only thing I have energy for. Kona is my baby and definitely keeps me busy.

Q: If you could have lunch with anyone, dead or alive, who would he/she be and why?
A: My grandma CeCe because I miss her.

Q: Tell us something most people don't know about you.
A: I am adopted. I was adopted at birth but recently "met" my birth mom. I actually found her on MySpace and came into contact with her. I was supposed to meet her when we traveled to New Mexico State last season, but I came down with the flu and couldn't travel.

Q: What are your plans following graduation?
A: After graduation, I will most likely move back to California and look for a job. My major is marketing so I want to pursue a job in sports marketing. I also want to continue playing volleyball and hopefully will find a good partner in which we can bring good competition to the sand courts

Q: What is your favorite television show?
A: This is kind of weird, but I love Avatar: the Last Airbender.

Q: What do you still hope to accomplish as a student-athlete?
A: Before my senior year I want to have a season on the Dean's List and be an All-American libero.

Q: What are your top three movies?
A: Glory Road (such an inspirational sports movie), The Temptations, and Love and Basketball

Q: What class have you enjoyed the most thus far?
A: I like GenBus. I was really interested in the different cases the book provided as examples to go along with how businesses interact with the government. We were assigned to sit-in during a case and write a summary about what we observed. I thought it was an interesting, hands-on assignment.

Q: What book would you recommend to a friend?
A: I like the book "What Makes Winners Win" by Charlie Jones. There are many different coaches and athletes featured in the book that give good advice on how to deal with sports and the outside pressures from peers to steer away from your dreams.

Q: What goals / expectations do you have for your team this season?
A: I really want the girls on the team to recognize their potential. We have been playing at such a high level and everyone needs to be continuing on the same page. I was shocked we were ranked fifth in the coaches' poll and I am expecting to exceed last year's placing. The years go fast and I can't believe that I am already a junior. Most of all, I expect my team to leave their heart on the court every time we step into a gym; whether its practice or game, we are all in it together.

Q: If you could only eat one item for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A: Hotdogs!!!!
