Fresno State 71, New Mexico State 60

Fresno State earned its 20th win for the fifth time in six seasons Saturday, beating New Mexico State 71-60 at the Save Mart Center.

The Bulldogs have won 12 straight games and are 20-5 overall and 11-0 in WAC play, three games ahead of second-place Nevada. New Mexico State dropped to 16-9 and 6-5 in conference play.

Fresno State shot 40 percent for the game and held the Aggies to 35 percent shooting from the field. The Bulldogs out-rebounded New Mexico State 46-36.

Fresno State was led by 23 points from Jaleesa Ross, who played all 40 minutes in the win. She also had eight rebounds. Hayley Munro added 14 points, Rosie Moult had 13 points and seven rebounds, and Taja Edwards had 11 points and six rebounds in 15 minutes off the bench.

Jasmine Lowe paced the Aggies with 22 points, followed by Crystal Boyd with 19.


Nevada 77, Utah State 66
Tahnee Robinson led four Wolf Pack players in double figures as Nevada beat Utah State 77-66 Saturday night at Lawlor Events Center in front of 1,236 fans.

With the win Nevada improves to 14-11 overall and 8-3 in WAC play, while Utah State falls to 12-12 overall and 4-7 in the WAC.

Nevada shot 43 percent (23-of-53) from the floor, while Utah State shot 47 percent (21-of-45). Nevada recorded a season-low 10 turnovers in the game. The Pack out-rebounded the Aggies 32-27 in the game.

Robinson finished with 24 points, while Shavon Moore scored 14 and added a team-high seven rebounds. Johnna Ward added 13 and Nicole Williams scored 11.

The Aggies had a trio of players reach the double-digit scoring mark, led by TaHara Williams with 17 points. Amber White added 12 points, while Alice Coddington had 10.


Idaho 74, Hawai'i 59

Idaho beat Hawai'i 74-59 Saturday afternoon at the Cowan Spectrum. With the win, the Vandals improve to 6-17 on the season and 4-6 in WAC play. The Rainbow Wahine fall to 9-15 on the year and 3-8 in the conference.

Idaho shot 38 percent from the field on the game, while Hawai'i shot 46 percent. The Vandals made up for this difference by pulling down a season-high 45 rebounds ,while holding the Rainbow Wahine to 32. The Vandals also scored a season-high 21 second-chance points and forced 20 Hawai'i turnovers. The Vandals also 22 of 29 free throws for a 76 percentage.

Yinka Olorunnife led Idaho with her 15th career double-double. Her 25 points tied a career high and her 14 rebounds were a season high for the team. Rachele Kloke scored 19 points for the Vandals on 8-of-17 shooting.

Hawai'i was led by Leilani Galdones with 19 points and Keisha Kanekoa with 10.
