Utah State 81, San Jose State 65

SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP)-- Nate Bendall led five Utah State players in double figures with 18 points and the Aggies extended their winning streak to 10 games with an 81-65 victory over San Jose State on Saturday night.

Jared Quayle added 14 points and Tyler Newbold scored 13 for Utah State (20-6, 10-2 Western Athletic), which took a 13-11 lead on Quayle's 3-pointer with 14:08 in the first half and never trailed again. The Aggies shot 61.7 percent from the field and were 9 of 14 on 3-pointers.

Adrian Oliver scored 28 points for the Spartans (12-12, 5-7), who lost at home for only the second time this season. C.J. Webster added 12 points.

Utah State shot better than 60 percent from the field for the second time this season and shot a season-high 64.3 percent from 3-point range.



Louisiana Tech 66, Hawai‘i 60

RUSTON, La. (AP)-- Kyle Gibson scored 15 points, including six free throws in the final 53 seconds, to help Louisiana Tech hold off Hawaii 66-60 on Saturday night.

Gibson finished 9-for-12 from the line and the Bulldogs (20-5, 8-3 Western Athletic Conference) hit nine free throws in the last minute.

Olu Ashaolu's layup gave Louisiana Tech a 57-53 lead with 1:36 to play, Gibson hit two free throws and Jamel Guyton hit another free throw for a 60-53 advantage with 33 seconds left.

Hawaii's Hiram Thompson scored three straight points to cut the lead to 60-56 with 25 seconds to play, but Guyton hit two more free throws.

The Bulldogs shot only 51.7 percent from the line (15-for-29).

Magnum Rolle added 12 points, Guyton had 11, DeAndre Brown scored 10 and Ashaolu added 11 rebounds.

Thompson scored 14, Roderick Flemings had 13 and Brandon Adams added 12 for Hawaii (9-15, 2-9).



Nevada 88, Boise State 80 (OT)

RENO, Nev. (AP)-- Luke Babbitt scored 27 points and Armon Johnson added 24 as Nevada beat Boise State 88-80 in overtime Saturday.

Joey Shaw added 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Wolf Pack (15-9, 7-4 Western Athletic).

Ike Okoye led Boise State (11-14, 2-10) with 32 points. Daequon Montreal added 18, including a 3-pointer with 11 seconds left in regulation that sent the game into overtime tied at 73.

In the extra period, Nevada led 77-76 with 3:19 remaining before going on a 10-2 run to put the game away. Babbitt had eight of the 10 points in the run, sealing the win with a pair of free throws with 51.8 seconds left.

Boise State led the entire first half, building a nine-point lead in the first five minutes en route to a 34-28 advantage at the break.



Idaho 68, Fresno State 59

FRESNO, Calif. (AP)-- Mac Hopson had 20 points, eight rebounds and six assists as Idaho defeated Fresno State 68-59 on Saturday night to sweep the season series from the Bulldogs.

Luciano De Souza added 16 points for Idaho (12-12, 4-8 WAC), including a corner 3-pointer with 2:35 remaining that gave the Vandals a 10-point lead.

Sylvester Seay led Fresno State (13-13, 6-6) with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Mike Ladd added 13 points the Bulldogs, who got six points from their bench compared to Idaho's 29.

Fresno State trimmed the deficit to 64-59 but went cold from the outside while the Vandals made 4 of 6 free throws in the final 1:03.

Hopson made 8 of 11 tries from the field and constantly broke down the Bulldogs defense with drives through the key.
