Nevada Defeats Hawai'i, Remains in Second Place

Nevada 76, Hawai'i 56
Nevada beat Hawai'i, 76-56, Monday night in front of 1,000 fans at Lawlor Events Center. With the win Nevada improves to 15-11 overall and 9-3 in WAC play, while Hawai'i falls to 9-16 overall and 3-9 in the WAC.

Nevada shot 42 percent (26-of-62) from the floor, while Hawai'i shot 38 percent (21-of-55).

Tahnee Robinson and Shavon Moore each recorded 14 points in the win for Nevada while Johnna Ward added 12, including her 700th career point. Marianne Lombardi (10) and Kayla Williams (11) each finished with double digits in rebounding for Nevada as the Pack out-rebounded the Rainbow Wahine 51-27 in the game.

Keisha Kanekoa led the Rainbow Wahine with 14 points, including 10 in the first half. Leilani Galdones had 10 points and Katie Wilson came off the bench to score 11 points on 5-of-8 shooting.
