Utah State 7, No. 1 Washington 4
Utah State handed No. 1 Washington its first loss of the season Friday morning, defeating the Huskies 7-4 at the Campbell/Cartier Classic in San Diego.

After giving up two runs in the top of the first, the Aggies tied the game in the bottom of the inning when Kelley Kaneshiro hit a two-run homer to left field.

Utah State took the lead for good in the bottom of the fourth when it plated five runs, including three of a Kali Cancelosi single to center field. UW scored one run in each of the next two innings, but it wasn't enough as the Aggies held on for the 7-4 win.

Kate Greenough earned the win in the circle, throwing 6.1 innings. She gave up four runs, three of which were earned, on eight hits. She struck out two. Shelbi Tyteca earned the save. After walking the first batter she faced, she retired the next two batters on a pop up and fielders choice.

Kaneshiro was 2-for-3 with one run and two RBI, while Cancelosi was 2-for-3 with three runs driven in.
