New Mexico State outscored Utah State by 17 in the second half to put away the visitors 73-54 at the Pan American Center Tuesday evening. With the win, New Mexico State improves to 17-11 overall and 7-7 in the WAC. Utah State falls to 12-14 on the year and 4-9 in the WAC after the loss.

NM State shot 44 percent from the field, 44 percent from three-point range and 85 percent from the free throw line on the game.Utah State connected on 30 percent from the field, 23 percent from downtown and 70 percent from the field. NM State out-rebounded USU 40-36.

Crystal Boyd led all scorers with 24 points and grabbed nine rebounds. Camila Rosen scored a career-high 10 points as did Madison Spence and Jasmine Lowe.

Utah State's LaCale Pringle-Buchanan scored a season-high 22 points, while Alice Coddington added 10.
