Hawai‘i 74, Nevada 63
HONOLULU (AP)-- Roderick Flemings scored 20 points and has 12 rebounds as Hawaii ended its nine-game losing streak with a 74-63 victory over Nevada on Saturday night.
Hiram Thompson added 19 points and Adhar Mayen had 17, both career highs, for the Warriors (10-18, 3-11 Western Athletic Conference), who won for the first time since Jan. 17.
Brandon Fields led the Wolf Pack (17-11, 9-5) with 20 points, while Luke Babbitt added 18.
A 19-5 run midway through the second half gave Hawaii a 58-41 lead, its largest cushion, before Nevada closed to within 62-59 with just 3 minutes remaining.
Hawaii, though, ended the game with a 12-4 run.
The Warriors erased an early six-point deficit and used a 14-4 run over the final seven minutes of the first half to take a 35-29 lead. Hawaii never trailed the rest of the way.
New Mexico State 95, Boise State 92
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (AP)-- Jonathan Gibson scored 24 points to lead New Mexico State to a 95-92 victory over Boise State on Saturday night.
The Aggies (19-9, 11-3 Western Athletic Conference) led by 20 with 12:18 to play, but Boise State (13-16, 3-11) nearly came all the way back before an Anthony Thomas 3-pointer at the buzzer fell short.
Boise State's Robert Arnold finished with 35 points, including a three-point play that pulled the Broncos to within five with 1:26 remaining. Arnold hit two free throws with 49.6 seconds left to get Boise State within two after a New Mexico State turnover, but the Broncos couldn't get any closer.
The Aggies extended a five-point halftime advantage to 68-48 with a 24-6 run in the first eight minutes of the second half.
Jahmar Young added 20 points, and Hernst Laroche and Hamidu Rahman each had 15 for New Mexico State.
Louisiana Tech 60, Idaho 49
RUSTON, La. (AP)-- Jamel Guyton scored 16 points as Louisiana Tech defeated Idaho 60-49 on Saturday night.
Olu Ashaolu added a double-double with 10 points and 12 rebounds for the Bulldogs (22-7, 9-5 Western Athletic Conference), who swept the season series against Idaho after beating them 77-71 on Jan. 9.
Louisiana Tech held a 29-23 halftime lead, but led by 10 points after back-to-back layups from DeAndre Brown and Guyton boosted their lead to 39-29 with 13:23 remaining in the game. The Bulldogs would go on to lead by as many as 15 points, and Idaho never recovered.
David Jackson contributed 13 points and nine rebounds for Louisiana Tech.
The Vandals (13-15, 4-10) were paced by Marvin Jefferson, who scored 13 points. Idaho has lost three straight games.
Idaho struggled to hit its 3-point attempts, shooting only 20 percent from beyond the arc (3-for-15).
San Jose State 72, Fresno State 45
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP)-- Robert Owens scored 20 points and Mac Peterson added 16 as San Jose State easily defeated Fresno State 72-45 on Saturday night.
It was the first time that the Spartans (14-14, 6-8 Western Athletic Conference) had held a conference opponent to under 50 points since beating Nevada 71-47 in 2001.
The Bulldogs (14-16, 6-8) shot just 25 percent and during the final minutes of the first half made just 1-of-22 shots from the field.
The win gave San Jose State its first 14-win season since 2000-01.
Adrian Oliver set a career-high with eight assists and Chris Oakes had 12 rebounds for the Spartans, who led by 30 early in the second half.
Sylvester Seay and Steven Shepp each had 12 points for Fresno State.
