Idaho 61, Nevada 53
Idaho defeated second-place Nevada 61-53 Wednesday at the Cowan Spectrum to end a seven-game losing streak to the Wolf Pack.

With the win, the Vandals improve to 5-16 overall and 3-5 in WAC play. Nevada drops to 12-10 on the year and 6-2 in the WAC.

Idaho shot 44 percent from the field, 42 percent from three-point range and 67 percent from the free throw line on the game. Nevada connected on 34 percent from the field, 29 percent from downtown and 50 percent from the charity stripe. The Wolf Pack won the rebounding battle, 41-35.

Rachele Kloke finished with 17 points, while Yinka Olorunnife added 15 and Shaena Kuehu chipped in 12. Kuehu had a team-high eight rebounds.

Tahnee Robinson paced the Wolf Pack with 21 points.


Louisiana Tech 75, Boise State 53
Adrienne Johnson scored 23 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead Louisiana Tech to a 75-53 win over Boise State Wednesday night at the Thomas Assembly Center.

With the win, the Techsters improve to 14-6 overall and 5-3 in the WAC. Boise State falls to 14-8 on the season and 3-5 in conference play.

Tech shot 41 percent (28-of-69) from the field for the game while Boise State hit only 34 percent (23-of-68) of its field goals. The Broncos also hit only 4-of-16 free throws (25 percent) and 3-of-22 three-pointers (14 percent). The Lady Techsters out-rebounded Boise State 55-43.

Johnson was joined in double figures Shanavia Dowdell, Tarkeisha Wysinger, Whitney Jones and Jasmine Bendolph, who each scored 10 points. Dowdell added 17 rebounds for her WAC-leading 13th double double of the year.

Kinzi Poteet led the Broncos with 11 points, while Janie Bos added 10 points.


New Mexico State 68, San Jose State 48
New Mexico State scored the first 10 points of the game against San Jose State and never looked back, defeating the Spartans on the road, 68-48, at the Event Center Wednesday evening.

With the win, NM State improves to 14-8 overall and evens its record at 4-4 in the Western Athletic Conference (WAC). San Jose State drops to 5-16 overall and 1-7 in the WAC after the loss.

The Aggies shot 41 percent from the field (25-of-56) and made 39 percent from three-point range, netting nine of 23 attempts. NM State held the Spartans to 32 percent (13-of-41) from the field and forced 21 Spartan turnovers.

Jasmine Lowe led three Aggies in double figures with 17 points, while Danisha Corbett came off the bench to post 13 points. Crystal Boyd rounded out the trio with 12 points to go along with seven rebounds.

San Jose State was led by Marnesha Hall, who recorded her first career double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds.
