Fresno State junior guard Jaleesa Ross has been selected as one of 40 finalists for the 2010 State Farm Coaches All-America Team. The 40 finalists were voted upon by the Women-s Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) member coaches in each of the eight WBCA geographical regions and are now in the running for the 10-member All-America team.

Ross is a three-time all-WAC honoree and had a record-breaking season as she averaged 17.4 points per game, scored 592 points and drained 103 three-pointers. The 540 points was the second-most scored in a season by a Bulldog, while the 17.4 scoring average was the fourth-best in a season for a Fresno State player. The 103 treys broke her own record set a year ago and ties Utah-s Julie Krommenhoek for the second-most in WAC single-season history.

Additionally, Ross became the Fresno State career three-pointer leader, breaking Lindsay Logan-s record of 272. She now has 287 treys on her career and needs nine to move into third place in WAC history.

Ross also led the team in assists, steals and rebounds as the Bulldogs went 27-7 and earned an at-large berth in the NCAA Tournament. The 27 wins was a school record and the Dogs had a 19-game winning streak, which before broken, was tied for the fifth longest winning streak in the nation.
