Fresno State 83, San Jose State 47
History was made at the Save Mart Center Wednesday night as  Fresno State defeated San Jose State 83-47 to become the first WAC school since Louisiana Tech in 2002-03 to go undefeated in conference play.

With the win, the Bulldogs are 25-5 on the year and finished WAC play 16-0. The 25 wins is a school record. San Jose State drops to 6-22 overall and 2-13 in conference play and falls out of contention for the WAC Tournament.

Fresno State shot 41 percent from the field, while San Jose State shot 48 percent. The Bulldogs out-rebounded the Spartans 44-40. The Bulldog defense forced 27 San Jose State turnovers.

Jaleesa Ross led the Bulldogs with 19 points on 7-of-9 shooting. LaShay Fears added 14 points, while Hayley Munro had a team-high nine rebounds.

Chasity Shavers paced the Spartans with 14 points, followed by Britney Bradley with 13. Marnesha Hall posted a double-double of 11 points and 11 rebounds.


Louisiana Tech 63, Idaho 56
The Techsters survived a late Idaho run to defeat the Vandals 63-56 in front of a national television audience on ESPNU Wednesday at Cowan Spectrum. With the win, Tech improves to 20-7 on the year ans 11-4 in WAC play. Idaho falls to 9-19 overall and 7-8 in the conference.

LA Tech shot 48 percent from the field, 14 percent from three-point range and 57 percent from the free throw line on the game. Idaho connected on 35 percent from the field, 23 percent from long range and 50 percent from the charity stripe. The Lady Techsters out-rebounded the Vandals 43-35.

Adrienne Johnson led all players with 23 points, while Shanavia Dowdell posted her 13th-straight double-double with 11 points and 11 boards.

Idaho was paced by Charlotte Otero with 18 points and six assists. Yinka Olorunnife posted a double-double of 11 points and 14 rebounds.


Nevada 61, New Mexico State 59

With the game tied at 59 and 1.9 seconds left in the game, Shavon Moore got an inbounds pass from Amanda Johnson under Nevada's basket and hit a fadeaway jumper to beat New Mexico State 61-59 Wednesday night at Lawlor Events Center in front of the 10th biggest crowd in program history of 2,074 fans.

With the win, Nevada tied the program record for conference wins in a season (10-5 WAC) as the Pack improved to 16-13 overall. With the loss New Mexico State fell to 17-12 overall and 7-8 WAC.

Nevada shot 33 percent (18-of-55) from the floor on the game, while New Mexico State shot 44 percent (22-of-50). The Pack out-rebounded the Aggies 45-28 in the game.

Tahnee Robinson scored a team-high 22 points, while Moore added 15. Kayla Williams pulled down a game-high 10 boards for the Wolf Pack.

The Aggies were led by Crystal Boyd with 23 points, followed by Madison Spence with 16.


Boise State 57, Utah State 47

Boise State outscored Utah State 34-22 on the second half en route to a 57-47 road win Wednesday night. With the win, the Broncos improve to 18-11 overall and 7-8 in WAC play. The Aggies fall to 12-16 on the year and 4-11 in the conference.

Boise State shot 42 percent (22-of-53) from the floor, 25 percent (2-of-8) from beyond the arc and 85 percent (11-of-13) from the free throw line. Utah State converted 32 percent (19-of-59) from the field, 25 percent (5-of-20) from three-point range and 57 percent (4-of-7) from the charity stripe. The Broncos out-rebounded the Aggies 44-30.

Janie Bos led the Broncos with 16 points and a career-high 16 rebounds to go with two blocks. Tasha Harris added 15 points, eight rebounds, two assists and four steals. The senior from Colorado also became the second Bronco in history to eclipse 1,700 career points with 1,714.

Amber White led Utah State with 10 points, four rebounds, three assists and one block.
