Nevada 100, New Mexico State 92
RENO, Nev. (AP)-- Brandon Fields scored a career-best 32 points to lead Nevada over New Mexico State 100-92 on Thursday night.
Luke Babbitt added 23 points for the Wolf Pack (18-11, 10-5 Western Athletic), including nine free throws down the stretch.
Jahmar Young scored 22 points and Jonathan Gibson and Troy Gillenwater 17 apiece for the Aggies (19-10, 11-4).
The Wolf Pack trailed 58-55 with 10:56 to play after a 3-point play by Gordo Castillo but rallied with a 25-8 run over the next five minutes to build an 80-66 lead with 4:50 left.
The Aggies pulled within 91-85 on a layup by Young but could get no closer as Joey Shaw, who finished with 15 points, hit a pair of free throws and Dario Hunt, who had 14 points, scored on a dunk to put the game away.
Wendell McKines had 13 points and 13 rebounds for New Mexico State.
Fresno State 66, Louisiana Tech 59
FRESNO, Calif. (AP)-- Greg Smith scored 17 points and Paul George had 16 points and seven rebounds as Fresno State ended its conference play by defeating Louisiana Tech 66-59 on Thursday night.
Mike Ladd added 11 points for Fresno State (15-17, 7-9 Western Athletic), which overcame a 10-point deficit early in the second half.
Olu Ashaolu scored 16 points and grabbed 10 rebounds for Louisiana Tech (22-8, 9-6) and Magnum Rolle added 15 points.
Jamel Guyton's 3-pointer with 1:02 remaining brought Louisiana Tech to within 61-59. Brandon Sperling and Smith combined to hit 5 of 6 free throws in the final 54 seconds and seal the victory for Fresno State.
Louisiana Tech concludes its conference play Saturday at Nevada in a game that will decide third place. Fresno State, meanwhile, moved a half-game ahead of San Jose State in the battle for fifth.
Idaho 86, San Jose State 76
MOSCOW, Idaho (AP)-- Kashif Watson and Mac Hopson scored 17 points apiece to lead Idaho to an 86-76 victory against San Jose State on Thursday night.
The Vandals (14-15, 5-10 WAC) clinched a spot in the WAC tournament next week.
Idaho had a 22-point lead with 13:28 remaining when San Jose State's Adrian Oliver woke up. He hit four 3-pointers to spark a comeback that left the Spartans (14-15, 6-9) trailing 78-69 with 1:53 to play.
The Spartans pulled within seven, but ran out of time as Idaho went 6 of 10 from the free throw line in the final 1:30.
Marvin Jefferson added 15 points and guard Steffan Johnson 10 for the Vandals.
Oliver had 24 points for San Jose State.
Boise State 82, Hawaii 63
BOISE, Idaho (AP)-- Robert Arnold scored 19 points and grabbed a team-high seven rebounds to lead Boise State to an 82-63 victory over Hawaii on Thursday night.
Boise State (14-16, 4-11 Western Athletic) kept alive its hopes of qualifying for the conference tournament next week, while Hawaii (10-19, 3-12) needs a win Saturday against Idaho and some help to make it in.
Leading 38-37 early in the second half, Boise State went on an 18-6 run in a four-minute span to all but bury Hawaii.
Ike Okoye and Daequon Montreal each added 13 points for Boise State.
Hawaii, which allowed a season-high 11 three-pointers, was led by Leroy Lutu with 12 points off the bench, while Adhar Mayen added 10.
