LOGAN, Utah - Hawai‘i cranked out nine home runs in its doubleheader at Utah State Wednesday, raising its season total to 89 to shatter the previous school record of 84 set in 2007.

In addition, freshman Kelly Majam hit her 21st home run of the season to tie former UH All-American Kate Robinson’s single-season school record that was set in 2008.

The Rainbow Wahine racked up 32 hits and outscored the Aggies 30-12 at Johnson Field on the campus of Utah State. UH hit four homers in the first game and five in the second. Hawai‘i has hit at least four home runs in 10 games this season and in all five games on this roadtrip.

Jessica Iwata led Hawai'i at the plate, hitting .667 with two home runs, including her first career grand slam, two doubles, seven RBI and three runs scored in the doubleheader. Majam hit .625 (5-for-9) with two doubles, a home run, four RBI and four runs scored and Jenna Rodriguez went 4-for-9 with a team-high three home runs and five RBI.
