Championship Preview/WAC Records
The 2010 edition of the WAC Outdoor Track and Field Championship
will be hosted by Louisiana Tech at the Jim Mize Track and Field
Complex in Ruston, La., May 12-15. Five men’s teams and eight women’s
teams will compete for the 2010 championship titles.
For the men, Utah State looks to defend its outdoor title, as well
as go for a season sweep after capturing the 2010 indoor championship.
The Aggies took home the WAC outdoor trophy in 2007 and 2009. On the
women’s side, Louisiana Tech hopes to secure its sixth straight outdoor
title, after claiming its third-consecutive and fifth-overall indoor
crown in February.
The championship gets underway on Wednesday with the men’s decathlon
and women’s heptathlon. Field event finals along with running event
preliminaries and finals begin on Friday.

Championship may be purchased at Jim Mize Track and Field Complex each
day of the event. Tickets can be purchased as either an all-session
pass or as single-session tickets. All seats are general admission.
