Q: When and why did you start to play soccer?
A: I started playing when I was eight because my parents enrolled me in the sport when t-ball didn't strike me as fun or challenging enough.
Q: What other sports did you play growing up?
A: Everything I could get my hands on I tried. I was an active tomboy.
Q: What has been your most rewarding experience off the field?
A: Being a lead in our high school play has been the most rewarding experience off the field for me. Rehearsals can be tough to get through sometimes.
Q: Why did you choose to attend Louisiana Tech?
A: Even though it was far from home, I absolutely felt at home ever since my first visit. The people are nice and friendly and even though it is a small town atmosphere, there is always something to do.
Q: What is your favorite childhood memory?
A: As a child, I enjoyed going up north to our cottage every summer. It is my haven and favorite place on earth. It's very peaceful.
Q: What do you consider your greatest accomplishment so far as a student-athlete?
A: Scoring two game-winning goals this year.
Q: What do you still hope to accomplish as a student-athlete?
A: I want to win the WAC Tournament with our team, the strongest group of girls I know!
Q: What's on your iPod?
A: A bunch of music, everything from Disney to the Foo Fighters.
Q: What do you like to do when you are away from the field?
A: Even when I am not playing with our team, I still have a ball at my feet! I also enjoy painting outside and swimming with friends.
Q: If you had to live on a desert island for a year and could only take three items with you, what would you take?
A: A plane, a pilot and some Skittles.
Q: Name your favorite class…
A: Kinesiology!
Q: What is your game day routine?
A: Eat a good breakfast, listen to music and dance a little, slap the win sign tapped in our locker room and focus on having fun.
Q: What are your expectations for your team this season?
A: For us to be mentally strong, support each other no matter what, listen to instructions, learn from our mistakes and have fun.
Q: What is your favorite television show?
A: Mythbusters
Q: Who has had the most influence on your life?
A: My parents, brother and coaches both at home and at Tech.
Q: What are your plans following graduation?
A: I want to do several things, but first and foremost is playing in the Women's Professional Soccer League. As for my professional career, I would love to do anything that allows me to be active and outdoors.
Q: What is the best advice you have received?
A: Do your best and forget the rest.
Q: Who is your favorite professional athlete?
A: Simon Whitfield, a Canadian tri-athlete.
Q: If Hollywood were to make a movie about your life, which actress would play your role?
A: Amanda Bynes. People say we have the same quirkiness.
Q: If you were to win a million dollars what would be your first purchase?
A: I would take a trip to Egypt with my mom.
Q: Describe the perfect meal…
A: I would want to be surrounded by good company and have calamari as my appetizer, salmon as my entrée with a side of Caesar salad and strawberry shortcake for dessert.
