Hawai`i fell 8-0 in five innings in the opening NCAA Super Regional game to No. 3 Alabama Saturday. Stephanie Ricketts suffered the loss, while Alabama’s Kelsi Dunne earned the win.  The Crimson Tide scored early and often. Amanda Locke hit a solo home run in the second inning to give Alabama an early 1-0 lead. But in the third, the ‘Tide rolled six runs across the plate, highlighted by a two-run single by Charlotte Morgan with the bases loaded, an RBI single by Whitney Larsen, followed by a three-run shot over the centerfield fence by Locke for her second homer of the game.  Alabama added another run on a sacrifice fly by Morgan with the bases loaded for their eighth run of the game.

Hawai`i 8, Alabama 7
Jessica Iwata drove in five runs, including a sacrifice fly in the sixth inning to give the Rainbow Wahine the lead for good, as Hawai`i snapped Alabama's 28-game winning streak with an 8-7 victory Saturday afternoon. It forces a third game Sunday with a trip to the Women's College World Series on the line. Stephanie Ricketts earned the win, throwing 2.1 innings in relief and striking out three.

Hawai`i 5, Alabama 4
Jenna Rodriguez hit a two-out, two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh inning to give Hawai`i a 5-4 win over top-seeded Alabama to win the Tuscaloosa Super Regional and earn its first-ever trip to the Women's College World Series. Rodriguez was 3-for-4 with two runs and all five RBI in the game. Stephanie Ricketts earned the win in relief, striking out one in 1.1 innings.
