INDIANAPOLIS - The NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Subcommittee selected the 64 singles players and 32 doubles teams that will compete in the 2010 NCAA Division I Women’s Tennis Championships, and the WAC had two singles players and one doubles team selected to compete in the tournaments.

In singles, Fresno State's Anastasia Petukhova, who is currently ranked 14th nationally, was the WAC's automatic qualifier and is seeded 15th overall. Boise State's Pichittra Thongdach, No. 49 in the nation, was also selected.

In doubles, the Broncos' Thongdach and Lauren Megale, who are currently ranked No. 45, received the WAC's automatic qualifier.

Automatic qualification into the Division I singles championships was awarded to any conference with one or more eligible singles players ranked in the ITA Top 125 for eligible/entered singles players. For conferences with more than one singles player within the ITA Top 125, the NCAA subcommittee applied the NCAA selection criteria to determine which student-athlete was the automatic qualifier from those conferences. All singles players must have a record of a minimum of 13 completed singles matches in order to be selected as an automatic qualifier or an at-large selection.
