Idaho senior thrower James Rogan has been named to the 2009-10 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-American Men’s Track and Field and Cross Country second team, as chosen by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
A justice studies and sociology major with a 3.70 cumulative grade-point average, Rogan finished 22nd in the men's hammer at the 2010 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championship in Eugene, Ore., with a toss of 193-11 (59.12m). In addition to the 2010 Academic All-American honor, the senior finishes his career as a two-time NCAA qualifier, a two-time WAC champion, two-time U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Division I All-Academic selection, an 11-time all-WAC honoree, and the Idaho school record holder in the hammer throw.
