Q: Why
do you choose to attend New Mexico State?
I came
to New Mexico State because they have a good program that fits with my major.
They also have a very strong volleyball program and without it I wouldn't be
able to continue my education.
Q: What
has been your most rewarding experience off the court?
My
most rewarding experience off the court would have to be making my family proud,
knowing that they don't have to pay for my education.
Q: What
do you like to do in your spare time?
In my
spare time I like to sleep and eat and hang out with my friends.
Q: If
you could have lunch with three people, dead or alive, who would they be and
why?
If I could
have lunch with three people dead or alive, one would be Michael Jackson because
he was a legend to music and everyone knew who he was. The other would be my
Uncle who passed away because I miss him and I didn't really get to say bye.
The last person would have to be Trey Songz because he is amazing!
Q: Tell
us something most people don't know about you.
I was
born in Holland which is in Europe and I lived there until I was six! Dutch is
my first language and I still speak it fluently!
Q: What
are your plans following graduation?
My
plans following graduation are to travel for a year or so and then either
become a pro volleyball player or a physical therapist
Q: What
is your favorite television show?
My
favorite television show is Trey Songz like I said, he is AMAZING! Or the
Backyardigans.
Q: What
do you still hope to accomplish as a student-athlete?
I hope
to become an All-American and have my jersey number with my last name hanging
in the rafters. Also, to be a scholar athlete, keeping my GPA at a high level.
Q: What
are your top three movies?
My top
three movies are Lion King, Hurricane Season and Leap Year
Q: What
class have you enjoyed the most thus far?
The
class I enjoy the most so far would be Roots of Modern Europe, but that might
change further in the year.
Q: What
book would you recommend to a friend?
I
would recommend the book "A child called 'it'"
Q: What
goals / expectations do you have for your team this season?
I
expect everyone to give 100% effort in every game and never give up! Our team
goals are to win the WAC tournament title and to make it as far as we can in
the NCAA tournament.
Q: If
you could only eat one item for the rest of your life, what would it be?
If I
could only eat one thing for the rest of my life, it would be Dutch pancakes
with Dutch chocolate spread!!! So good! My mouth is watering thinking of it.
