We are now three games into the season, and although the outcomes are not what we had wanted , we have learned from these results. We know that we can do better and we expect more out of ourselves. Our team has great potential starting with our goalkeepers all the way to our forwards. In our eyes, we do not have a weak spot on the field, but now we must put all of our efforts together in order to accomplish success. We must be excellent in performing the little things on and off the field. We rely on ourselves and we must continue to encourage one another in order to strive to be the best we can be.
Although the results have not shown our hard work, we are sisters who are looking to win as not only a team but as a family. We are generating new traditions and creating a new environment for the returners as well as the new girls. Together, as one, we will conquer the adversity that has been set before us. We are proud to be Spartans, and we will continue on with our season with positive attitudes and fight for our first win of the season.

We are a week and a half into pre-season camp, and have extremely high expectations for ourselves. However, the hard work did not just start in camp. All 26 girls worked their tails off over the summer in order to prepare themselves for the work ahead, and the results are apparent through fitness and play.
With our first week of captain’s camp, an environment without the coaches, we really took time to bond as a team and welcome the freshman and junior transfers. In that time, we have had meals together everyday and went on a team camping trip to New Brighten Beach. On the camping trip we relaxed in a soccer free environment where we were able to get to know one another better over a campfire and a few cups of hot chocolate. Our focus was to really make everyone feel welcome right off the bat. We achieved this as we entered double days, encouraging each other through fitness testing and having the right mindset through the preseason.
As double days come to a close and as our games are approaching, the excitement and the intensity is higher then ever. The returners have worked hard to create a competitive atmosphere to prove that we were not satisfied with last year’s results and have high expectations for the season. We are ready to prove ourselves once again by doing all the little things necessary to win. We want to walk off the field every game knowing we outworked our opponents. The bar of success is higher then ever, but we’re ready for the challenge.
