Idaho picked up its third consecutive three-set win Friday night with a 25-17, 25-14, 25-16 win over defending WAC Tournament champion Utah State in Memorial Gym. With the win, the Vandals improve to 9-9 on the year and 3-2 in WAC play. The Aggies fall to 7-11 overall and 2-3 in the conference.
The Vandals had season-highs in hitting percentage (.351) and total blocks (14), while holding the Aggies to .053 hitting, a season-low for a Vandal opponent.
Alyssa Schultz hit a career-high .727 with eight kills and no errors on 11 attempts, and added five total blocks. Allison Walker had her sixth consecutive double-double and ninth of the season with a match-high 16 kills and 12 digs.
Shay Sorensen paced Utah State with 10 kills, while Liz McArthuer added nine.
