ATHLETES OF THE WEEK (Oct. 31-Nov. 6)
Fresno State's Courtney Sheehan and Northern Arizona's Kristy Ardavanis have been named the Verizon WAC Swimmer and Diver of the week, respectively, for the week of Oct. 31-Nov. 6.

Sheehan, a freshman from Waukesha, Wis.( Waukesha South HS), delivered a dynamic performance, winning the 1650-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle, and finishing a close third in the 200-yard freestyle, as the 'Dogs went 1-1 in a double-dual meet at Pacific. Sheehan swam the 200 immediately after winning the 1650 and placed third, coming in only a second behind the first-place finisher. Her times in the 1650 and 500 were the fastest times recorded in the WAC this season. She beat her closest competition by 33 seconds in the 1650 and was 23 seconds faster than any WAC competitor this season.

Ardavanis, a junior from Gilbert, Ariz. (Mesquite HS), won both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving competitions in the Lumberjacks dual victory over Idaho. She scored 300.60 on 1-meter, a Wall Aquatic Center pool record, winning by more than 45 points over the second place finisher. On the 3-meter, she scored 291.53 to win by almost 27 points. The scores surpassed the NCAA Zone standards for both 1-meter and 3-meter in her first meet of the season.

TEAM RECAPS
Fresno State Bulldogs (2-2)

Fresno State split a meet at Pacific University on Friday, falling to the host school 112-93 and defeating Seattle University 142-63 .... Fresno State's diving squad competed separately on the weekend, travelling to the USC Diving Invitational ... junior Stacey Luke led the Bulldogs, placing sixth in the 3-meter diving competition ... at Pacific, freshman Courtney Sheehan won the 1650-yard freestyle and 500-yard freestyle, and finished a close third in the 200-yard freestyle ... she was named WAC Swimmer of the Week ... her times in the 1650 and 500 were the fastest in the WAC this season ... this week, Fresno State has a dual meet with UC Davis on Saturday.

Hawai'i Rainbow Wahine (0-0)
Hawai'i partook in the Sunshine Diving Invite last weekend, a competition consisting of divers from clubs Sport Basic and Sunshine Diving, as well as UH divers competing as unattached ... senior Daniella Nero took first place in the 1-meter competition and junior Hannah Bocksnick claimed the top spot in the 3-meter dive ... the pair finished 1-2 in both events, and sophomore Genevieve Bradley finished third in both ... the Hawai'i swimming team will compete next at the Arena Invitational at Long Beach State from Nov. 17-19 ... the diving squad will be back in action from Dec. 1-3 at the Texas Diving Invite in Austin, Texas.

Idaho Vandals (1-3)
Idaho fell to Northern Arizona 155.5-133.5 on Saturday, in its first conference dual of the season ... freshman Rachel Millet won the 100-meter freestyle and the 200-meter Individual Medley ...  senior Savannah Bettis picked up a victory with her win in the 200-meter butterfly ... Erica Anderson, Katie Hendricks, Megan Venlos and Si Jia Pang joined forces to win the 400-meter freestyle relay ... junior Paige Hunt won the 3-meter diving competition with a score of 264.60, the highest mark in Vandal history ... this week, the Vandals are off ... Idaho competes next in Houston at the Cougar Classic Invitational, from Nov. 17-19.

Nevada Wolf Pack (2-1)
Nevada was off last week ... during its last action, the Wolf Pack won two meets, defeating Pacific 137-100 on oct. 28 and WAC-foe Fresno State 158.5-141.5 on Oct. 29 ... junior Jojo Mi won six events, three at each meet ... vs. Fresno State, sophomore Grace Huang was the only competitor to score more than 300 points in the one-meter and three-meter dives, with totals of 340.20 and 309.15, respectively ... her first place finishes in both events earned Nevada a total of 19 points ... Nevada is off this week again, as the Wolf Pack divers compete at the Wildcat Diving Invitational Nov. 18-20  ... the whole team will compete next on Dec. 3 at Cal State East Bay.

New Mexico State Aggies (1-2)
The New Mexico State was off last week ... the Aggies defeated Northern Colorado, 174-110, on Oct. 29 in its last action ... freshman Jessica Leggewon won the 100-meter breaststroke, the 200-meter backstroke and was a member of the winning 400-medley relay ... senior Carly Smith swept the 1-meter diving competition (241.50) and 3-meter (251.40) spring board ... this is the second time in three meets that Smith has won both events ... the Aggies are in action next at the Houston Cougar Invitational from Nov. 17-19.

North Dakota Fighting Sioux (4-1)
North Dakota was off this week ... previously, the Fighting Sioux picked up two wins during a double-dual at South Dakota State on Oct. 28 ... UND edged the hosts 151-148 and topped Western Illinois 246-47 ... sophomore Kelsey Richels won the 200-meter freestyle and the 100-meter freestyle events ... senior Megan Keidel swept the diving events with a mark of 247.25 on the 1-meter and a season-best score of 250.58 on the 3-meter ... this week, the Fighting Sioux are off again ... North Dakota is in action again on Saturday for a quad meet hosted by Northwestern, also featuring Illinois-Chicago and Wyoming.

Northern Arizona Lumberjacks (1-0)
Northern Arizona defeated Idaho 155.5-133.5 in its first action of the season ... five different Lumberjacks won two events in the dual ... junior Kristy Ardavanis dominated on the diving board, taking both the 1-meter and 3-meter events with NCAA Zone qualifying scores ... she scored a 300.60, a Wall Aquatic Center diving record on the 1-meter board and a 291.53 on the 3-meter ... she was named WAC Diver of the Week for her efforts ... this week, the Lumberjacks will compete on three consecutive days in Colorado, opening at Colorado State on Thursday, Northern Colorado on Friday and a four-team meet at Denver on Saturday.

San Jose State Spartans (3-1)
The Spartans were off this week ... in its last action, San Jose State won two dual meets, topping UC Santa Cruz 180-105 on Oct. 28 and UC Davis 178-122 on Oct. 29 ... senior Kirsten Trammell won six events over the two meets ... against UC Davis, her 100-meter breaststroke time was 1:03.31, a pool record for the SJSU Aquatics Center and was ranked 25th nationally this season, first in the WAC ... the Spartans next competitions will be split squad, as the swimmers head to the Arena Invitational from Nov. 17-19.
