TEMPE, Ariz. (AP) - Deonte Burton scored 21 of his 28 points in the second half and Nevada knocked off its second straight Pac-12 opponent by beating Arizona State 69-61 Wednesday night.
Coming off an overtime win over Washington, Nevada (6-3) grabbed the lead in a tight game with a couple of small runs in the second half and held Arizona State off down the stretch. Burton had a career-high 31 against the Huskies and still had the touch going against the Sun Devils, hitting 6 of 11 shots from the field and 13 of 15 free throws.
Dario Hunt added 14 points and 12 rebounds for the Wolf Pack.

Colorado 71, Fresno State 64
BOULDER, Colo. -(FS Media Relations) Second half rallies are becoming a staple of the Bulldog men's basketball team and Wednesday featured yet another fearless comeback before Colorado mustered just enough to fend off Fresno State 71-64 on Wednesday night.
The 'Dogs dug themselves a 20-point first-half hole that sophomore guard Kevin Olekaibe and an aggressive team defense helped cut to three at 55-52 with 6:18 left in the game.

Washington State 66, Idaho 64
MOSCOW, Idaho –(UI Media Relations) In the 107-year history of the Idaho-Washington State men’s rivalry, few games could match the ending of Wednesday’s battle of the Palouse, but unfortunately it was the Vandals who fell victim to a last-second shot in a 66-64 loss at the Cowan Spectrum.
Washington State’s (5-4) Reggie Moore sank a heavily contested mid-range jumper with 0.9 seconds remaining in the game after Idaho (4-4) had rallied back from a double-digit halftime deficit to tie the game at 64-64 on a Landon Tatum runner with 25 seconds left.

California 81, San Jose State 36
Berkeley, Calif.--(SJSU Media Relations) California jumped out to a 15-2 lead in the first four minutes and didn’t let up in an 81-36 win over San Jose State in a non-conference men’s basketball game.
It was a tenacious and physical Golden Bears’ defense along the perimeter that keyed the Cal (7-2) victory. Keith Shamburger was limited to 8 points and James Kinney was scoreless going 0-for-12 from the field. The two guards combined to average 40.7 points a game last week in three games. The Spartans (3-7) shot a season-low 20 percent.
