Louisiana Tech 62, San Jose State 53
The Lady Techsters watched a 20-point first-half lead whittle down to one with less than five minutes to play but Louisiana Tech survived a scare from San Jose State, downing the Spartans 62-53 Saturday at the Thomas Assembly Center. With the win, Tech improves to 20-5 overall and a perfect 12-0 in the WAC. The Spartans drop to 2-23 on the year and 2-10 in conference play.

LA Tech shot 41 percent from the field, 30 percent from three-point range and 76 percent  from the free throw line, while San Jose State hit 43 percent from the field, 27 percent from beyond the arc and 77 percent from the charity stripe. The Techsters out-rebounded SJSU 35-24.

Adrienne Johnson led Tech with 14 points and eight rebounds, while Whitney Jones added 13 points

Sayja Sumler led the Spartans with 25 points and eight steals while Sara Plavljanin added 14 points.


Utah State 67, Idaho 51

Alice Coddington became Utah State's all-time career steals leader as the Aggies defeated Idaho 67-51 Saturday in Moscow. With the win, the Aggies improve to 14-11 overall and 8-4 in the WAC. The Vandals drop to 13-12 on the year and 6-7 in conference play.

Coddington passed Aggie great and current USU assistant coach, Danyelle Snelgro (2006-09), who had 216 steals in her Utah State career with 217 at the 2:58 mark of the second half.

Utah State shot 46 percent from the field, 25 percent from the behind the arc and 59 percent from the charity stripe on the game. Idaho shot 37 from the field, including 19 percent from three-point range and 63 from the free throw line. 

Devyn Christensen led Utah State with 15 points. Ashlee Brown added 14 points, while Banna Diop had 12 points and eight boards.

Idaho was led by 15 points from senior Derisa Taleni. The Vandals also got a game-high 14 rebounds from Yinka Olorunnife.


Nevada 74, Boise State 57
Nevada collected its 19th win for just the third time in school history Saturday, winning 74-57 at Boise State Saturday night. With the win, Nevada improves to 19-7 on the year and 8-5 in WAC play. Boise State drops to 11-16 overall and 2-11 in the conference.

Nevada shot 43 percent from the field, 40 percent from three-point range and 70 percent from the free throw line on the game. with six threes. The Broncos connected on 39 percent from the field, 40 percent from beyond the arc and 74 percent at the charity stripe. The Wolf Pack out-rebounded the Broncos 33-29. 

Tahnee Robinson led all scorers with 27 points, while Nicole Williams set a season high with 18 points. Shavon Moore scored 14 with seven boards and three steals.

Janie Bos paced Boise State with 13 points.
