Fresno State 77, Idaho 51
The Bulldogs fended off a fierce challenge from Idaho and picked up their 20th win of the season with a 77-51 victory over the Vandals at the Save Mart Center Thursday. With the win, Fresno State improves to 20-7 overall and 11-2 in WAC play. Idaho drops to 13-13 on the year and 6-8 in conference play.

Fresno State shot 50 percent from the field, 41 percent from three-point range and 80 percent from the free throw line on the game. Idaho connected on 45 percent from the field, 36 percent from beyond the arc and 80 percent from the charity stripe. The Bulldogs edged the Vandals on the boards, 28-27.

Taja Edwards paced the Bulldogs with 13 points, while Marnique Arnold finished with 12 points.

Idaho was led by Yinka Olorunnife's double-double of 16 points and 10 rebounds.


Utah State 72, New Mexico State 61
Utah State picked up a 72-61 win over New Mexico State Thursday night in WAC action at the Dee Glen Smith Spectrum. With the win, Utah State improves to 15-11 overall and 9-4 in WAC play. New Mexico State drops to 11-16 on the year and 5-8 in conference competition.

Utah State shot 43 percent from the field, 42 percent from three-point range and a season-high 85 at the free throw line. New Mexico State shot 37 percent from the floor, 13 percent from downtown and 88 percent at the charity stripe. The maroon Aggies had a 42-39 rebounding edge.

Ashley Brown scored a game-high 21 points on 13-of-13 free throw shooting to pace Utah State. Brown nearly had a triple-double, adding a career-high eight assists to go with six rebounds. Banna Diop added 13 points, while Alice Coddington grabbed a season-high 11 rebounds.

NMSU had three players in double-digits, led by Jasmine Lowe's 14 points. Tabytha Wampler added 12 and Madison Spence tossed in 10.


Hawai'i 55, San Jose State 53
Keisha Kanekoa hit the game winning basket with eight seconds left to lift Hawai'i to a 55-53 come-from-behind win over San Jose State Thursday night at the Stan Sheriff Center. With the win, the Rainbow Wahine improve to 10-17 overall and 4-10 in league play. San Jose State drops to 2-24 on the season and 2-11 in the WAC.

Hawai'i shot 34 percent from the field, 31 percent from three-point range and 55 percent from the free throw line on the game. The Spartans connected on 45 percent from the field, 50 percent from downtown and 67 percent from the charity stripe. The Rainbow Wahine dominated the glass, 41-25.

Kanekoa led all scorers with 20 points, while Kamilah Jackson just missed a double-double, finishing with 12 points and nine rebounds.

SJSU was led by A.J. Newton with 14 points, Marnesha Hall with 11 and Sayja Sumler with 10 points and 10 boards.
