Q: Why
do you choose to attend Boise State?
A: I transferred from South Dakota State. I had heard great things about Boise State so
I came down [for a visit] and fell in love with the place immediately. The
campus was amazing; it wasn't too big or small, so I fit well. It is a college
town, which I like, and the girls [volleyball team] are great as well. We all
get along so well and it is always a fun time. I love the coaches; they are
really great and teach me a lot. It is a great program to be a part of and I am
so thankful to be here. GO BRONCOS!!!
Q: What
has been your most rewarding experience off the court?
A: I went to an orphanage in Brazil and
taught volleyball to the kids. It was very sad to see the conditions they were
surrounded by. It taught me to be grateful for what I have and use what I have
to the fullest. I also learned not to be ashamed of who I am and what I am a
part of. The kids, though they couldn't speak English, spoke to me in a way
that I can't even describe; that hit me in the heart and I will never forget
that.
Q: What
do you like to do in your spare time?
A: Bake cakes, hang out with my family,
read, or do jigsaw puzzles.
Q: If
you could have lunch with three people, dead or alive, who would they be and
why?
A: Misty May, because she is amazing at
volleyball and is a fantastic role model. Matt Damon, because he is my favorite
actor and is super gorgeous. Thomas Edison, because he invented the light bulb,
that's amazing! I want science lessons from him!
Q: Tell
us something most people don't know about you.
A: I am one of the math nerds who enjoy
doing puzzles like Sudoku, and video games. I also love jigsaw puzzles.
Q: What
are your plans following graduation?
A: To open a cake/pastry shop or go into
body building.
Q: What
is your favorite television show?
A: Anything on the cooking channel.
Q: What
do you still hope to accomplish as a student-athlete?
A: To become a better leader and example to
others, and to graduate with high grades.
Q: What
are your top three movies?
A: The Jason Bourne trilogy, Avatar, and Hot
Rod.
Q: What
class have you enjoyed the most thus far?
A: Probably speech, I'm terrified of
speaking and this class was fun and not scary at all.
Q: What
book would you recommend to a friend?
A: Mountains Beyond Mountains. Very, very
inspirational!
Q: What
goals / expectations do you have for your team this season?
A: To win the WAC!!!! Also to have everyone
pushing each other to their highest level of play, and to always be positive
and have fun.
Q: If
you could only eat one item for the rest of your life, what would it be?
A: That's a tough one, I love all food. But I
would have to say a giant piece of steak!
