Utah State head volleyball coach Grayson DuBose was recently named a finalist for National Coach of the Year by Collegiate Volleyball Update (CVU).
DuBose, who is entering his sixth year at Utah State, was one of five finalists for the CVU National Coach of the Year award along with Ed Allen (Tulsa), Joe Getzin (Mississippi), Carolyn Zimmerman (Cal State Fullerton) and Kirsten Bernthal Booth (Creighton), who won this year’s honor.
DuBose led Utah State to a 24-8 record in 2010 and its fourth NCAA Tournament appearance in school history after winning its first-ever WAC Tournament by defeating perennial power Hawai‘i in the championship match. The 24 wins for USU were the seventh-most in school history and the most since 1982.
