Five WAC Indoor Track and Field athletes will compete in the 2011 NCAA Indoor Championships Friday and Saturday in College Station, Texas. For the men, Boise State junior Kurt Felix will enter the heptathlon, having posted 5,691 points at the WAC Indoor Championship, which currently stands at 12th in the nation. Idaho junior Jeremy Klas will participate in the pole vault, with a mark of 17 feet, nine inches (5.41 meters) that is tied for fifth in the nation. Utah State’s Clint Silcock will compete in the high jump, as he is currently tied for seventh in the nation with a height of 7-4.25 (2.24m). For the women, Utah State junior Sonia Grabowska will enter the pole vault with a mark of 13-11.25 (4.25m) that is tied for 12th in the nation. Louisiana Tech senior Chelsea Hayes will compete in the long jump, as she is currently 11th in the nation with a mark of 20-9.75 (6.34m).
