- Junior Josh Poytress' second straight complete game fueled the No. 13 Bulldogs to an 8-1 victory over Nevada. The Fresno State baseball team has an overall mark of 24-5 and is 4-2 in the WAC. Poytress struck out a career-high nine batters in his third start of the season. He is 4-0 on the mound in 2011 and has an ERA of 2.27.

- The No. 13 Fresno State baseball team won its fourth game in a row after beating Nevada 4-2 in the second game of the doubleheader Saturday afternoon. The Bulldogs are 25-5 on the year and improve to 5-2 in Western Athletic Conference play. The Dogs also boast an impressive home record of 19-2. The bulldog pitching staff struck out a combined total of 13 batters and did not allow a walk in nine innings.

- The New Mexico State baseball team (26-9, 4-3 WAC) split a doubleheader with San Jose State (23-13, 3-4 WAC) winning game one 16-8 and losing game two 7-3 at Presley Askew Field, Saturday, April 16. NM State posted 26 hits on the day compared to the Spartans 20 hits, while the Aggies committed two errors and SJSU didn't commit any. The Aggies will try to take the series from SJSU in the series finale, Sunday, April 17 at 11:00 a.m. (MT).

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – The Hornets hit a game changing home run in each of Saturday’s games and the Sacramento State baseball team swept a doubleheader with Air Force on Saturday at John Smith Field. The Hornets took game one, 3-2, and were victorious in game two, 9-6.

– The University of Hawai'i baseball team remained undefeated in WAC play Saturday with a 10-2 win over Louisiana Tech. The Rainbows improved to 20-14 overall and 6-0 in the WAC, while the Bulldogs dropped to 17-17 and 2-4. Breland Almadova recorded two hits, two runs, and two RBI to lead Hawai'i. Kolten Wong batted 2-4 with two runs and one RBI, and Michael Blake added two hits, one run, and two RBI.
