- The No. 12 Fresno State baseball team earned its 27th victory of 2011 after defeating Sacramento State, 7-3, on Friday afternoon. The Bulldogs are 27-6 on the season and have a 7-2 record in Western Athletic Conference play.

- Caleb Dudley tossed three no-hit relief innings and Tech rallied to take game one of the doubleheader, 5-4. The win snapped a nine-game road losing streak against the Spartans and was Tech's first win in San Jose since March 25, 2006.

– The University of Hawai'i baseball team defeated Valparaiso on Friday, 9-8. The Rainbows improved to 22-16 while Valpo dropped to 16-22. Breland Almadova led the 'Bows with two hits, three runs, and one RBI, and belted his first homerun of the season, a solo shot over the centerfield wall. Michael Blake posted two hits, one run, and one RBI, and Kolten Wong added one hit, one run, and a game-high three RBI.
