Hawai‘i 3, New Mexico State 2 (10)
Hawai‘i fought back to defeat WAC-leader New Mexico State, 3-2, in 10 innings at the Rainbow Wahine Softball Stadium Friday night. Stephanie Ricketts earned the complete-game win, giving up two runs, just one earned, on six hits with 10 strikeouts. Alexandra Aguirre drove in the winning run on a bases-loaded-single in the bottom of the 10th inning.
Boise State 4, Fresno State 3
Boise State picked up its 30th win of the season with a 4-3 victory over Fresno State in WAC action Friday at Mountain Cove Softball Field. Aubray Zell pitched a complete game, holding the Bulldogs without a run for the final five frames. Devon Bridges and Allie Crump both hit solo home runs for the Broncos. Bridges has homered in eight of the last nine home games, and nine of the 12 this season.
Louisiana Tech 2, San Jose State 1
The Lady Techsters picked up a crucial WAC win Friday, defeating San Jose State 2-1. Janna Frandrup was 3-for-3 with one RBI. Meghan Krieg picked up the complete-game win, allowing one run on three hits, while striking out four.
Utah State 13, Nevada 3
The Aggies rattled off 13 hits in a 13-3 win over Nevada in the first half of a doubleheader Friday. Kelley Kaneshiro hit a three-run homer, while Allison Lenzora also drove in three runs. Shelbi Tyteca earned the win, throwing 5.0 innings and striking out five.
Utah State 8, Nevada 1
The Aggies posted 14 hits en route to an 8-1 win over the Wolf Pack in the nightcap. Tina Ferguson hit three doubles, while Krista Bava drove in two runs. Mandy Harmon earned the win, striking out four.
