St. Jeor
have been named the Verizon Western Athletic Conference Women's Outdoor
Track and Field Athletes of the Week, respectively, for the week of May 2-8.
Butterworth, a freshman from Parksville, British
Columbia (Ballenas Secondary), was the top collegiate runner in the 3000-meter
steeplechase at the Oregon Twilight on Friday.
Her time of 10:37.27 set a personal-best, is second best in the WAC by
just one-tenth of a second and was the sixth best all-time at Idaho.
St. Jeor, a junior from Wrightwood, Calif. (Utah
Valley), placed third in the pole vault at the Twilight Invitational in Provo,
Utah, last Wednesday. Her vault of 3.80m
(12-05.50) is the best in the WAC this season.
