Fresno State 15, New Mexico State 7


FRESNO, Calif. - The Fresno State baseball team came from behind and won 15-7 over New Mexico State on Friday night. The Bulldogs came back from a 6-0 deficit after four innings. The Bulldogs gained the lead with sophomore Austin Wynns' first career home run. The Dogs improve to 33-11 on the season and 14-7 in Western Athletic Conference play.

Sacramento State 4, Nevada 2


SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Karl Maas threw his second complete game of the season, allowing just two runs on five hits, and the Sacramento State baseball team started a four-game Western Athletic Conference series at Nevada with a 4-2 victory on Friday night at Peccole Park. The Hornets improved to 18-33 (5-12 WAC) with the win while the Wolf Pack fell to 17-27 (6-10 WAC) after the loss.

Hawai‘i 5, San Jose State 2 (7)


HONOLULU – The University of Hawai'i baseball team split a doubleheader Friday with San Jose State. The Rainbows move to 29-21 overall and 14-5 in the WAC, with the Spartans now at 32-20 overall and 10-9 in conference. Game one saw UH jump out to a 3-0 lead after the first inning. Kolten Wong (1 H, 1 R, 1 RBI) opened the scoring with an RBI-single, then Jeff Van Doornum (2-3, 2 RBI) added to the lead with a two-RBI base hit. Wong and Zack Swasey (1 H, 1 R) scored on the play.

San Jose State 7, Hawai‘i 3


Honolulu, Hawai'i - Blake McFarland threw seven strong innings and the San Jose State Spartans pounded t 14 hits off of three Hawai'i pitchers in a 7-3 win in game two of a Saturday doubleheader.  The Warriors took the opener 5-2. With the split the Spartans are 10-9 in Western Athletic Conference play, 32-20 overall.  Hawai'i is 29-21 on the year and 14-5 in WAC action. Needing a win after dropping the first two games of the four-game series, McFarland scattered five hits, all singles, and gave up two runs while improving his record to 7-2 on the season.
