LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The New Mexico State baseball team defeated Hawai'i Friday evening at Presley Askew Field, 18-8 in seven innings. The Aggies move to 34-21 overall and 9-14 in WAC play, while Hawai'i is now 31-23 on the year and 16-7 in conference. The Aggies recorded 18 runs on 17 hits with 17 RBI on the night. Zac Fisher led the Aggies going 3-of-5 at the plate with three RBI, including a home run. Tyler Forney was also 3-of-5, scoring two runs and driving in three. Tanner Waite also had a solid day, going 4-for-4 with five run.

Louisiana Tech 4, Sacramento State 1

SACRAMENTO, Calif. - Louisiana Tech recorded a season high seven doubles and Caleb Dudley set a school record with his 10th save of the year as the Bulldogs recorded a 4-1 win at Sacramento State Friday afternoon to clinch a berth in the 2011 WAC Tournament. Tech (30-24, 10-11 WAC) never trailed and was led by Kyle Roliard's 3-for-5 day with one run scored. His lone RBI of the game came in the seventh inning and gave Tech the lead for good over a pesky Hornets (18-37, 5-16 WAC) team that was eliminated from WAC Tournament contention. The top six teams in the WAC advance to the season-ending tournament in Mesa, Ariz.

Nevada 11, San Jose State 4

SAN JOSE, Calif. - The University of Nevada baseball team (11-17) defeated the San Jose State Spartans (32-22, 10-11 WAC) 11-4 tonight in game one of Nevada's last regular season series of 2011. The win snapped an eight-game losing streak at Municipal Stadium. RHP Tom Jameson (5-6, 5.05 ERA) was dominant over six innings allowing just one run (unearned) on six hits en route to his team-leading fifth victory of the season.

---For the second consecutive Friday night, Mike McCarthy (R-Sr., Brentwood, Calif., Univ. of Redlands) defeated a top 20 opponent as CSU Bakersfield (28-21) handed No. 19 Fresno State (37-12) a 6-0 defeat. The 6-3 righty struck out 12, walked two, and allowed just four hits.
