Fresno State 9, Louisiana Tech 4


RUSTON, La. - No. 17 Fresno State baseball beat Louisiana Tech 9-4 on Friday night. The Bulldogs improved to 31-9 on the season and 11-5 in Western Athletic Conference play. The Dogs scored six of nine runs with two outs. Senior Jordan Ribera drove in four of nine Bulldogs runs after going 2-for-4 with a single and a double. Brennan Gowens was perfect at the plate hitting 3-for-3 with an RBI. The Dogs recorded nine hits with six different players recording a hit.

Nevada 10, Hawai‘i 0 (7)



RENO, Nev. – The University of Nevada baseball team (17-24, 6-7 WAC) defeated the Hawai’i Rainbows (25-20. 10-4 WAC) 10-0 today in a seven inning run-rule victory. Troy Marks (2-3, 3.88 ERA) was brilliant in a winning effort, pitching his first career complete-game shutout. Marks held the Rainbows hitless through three innings before giving up his first hit to Collin Bennett (1-for-3) in the fourth. Marks, who struck out four hitters, allowed just two more hits both coming in the seventh inning.

New Mexico State 8, Sacramento State 7


LAS CRUCES, N.M.
- The New Mexico State baseball team (31-14, 6-7 WAC) defeated Sacramento State (15-32, 2-11 WAC) 8-7 on a Paker Hipp walk-off double in the series opener at Presley Askew Field, Friday, May 6. The game was tied 7-7 heading into the bottom of the ninth when the sophomore second baseman belted a double to the centerfield wall that brought in the winning run. Senior centerfielder Wes Starkes led off the ninth with a walk and advanced to second on a sacrifice bunt by junior shortstop Tyler Forney.
