DENVER
- Western Athletic
Conference Commissioner Karl Benson today announced the hiring of Amanda
Benzine as the Director of Marketing.
Benzine
replaces Megan Allen who served in the position since 2008. She will oversee the budgeting, planning and
administration of the Conference's marketing, branding and merchandising
programs.
Benzine
comes to the WAC after serving as the Director of Marketing at Northern
Illinois the past two years where she created and implemented comprehensive
marketing and ticket sales plans for football, basketball and other
sports. Prior to Northern Illinois,
Benzine spent several years in the marketing department at the University of Wisconsin-Madison
where she also earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.
She
will join the WAC staff on August 1.
