Hawai'i 3, Utah State 0
Hawai'i defeated Utah State in four sets (21-25, 25-16, 25-15, 25-20) in WAC action Saturday, avenging its loss to the Aggies in last year's WAC Tournament. With the win, UH improves to 12-1 overall and 2-0 in the WAC. The Aggies drop to 6-9 overall and 1-1 in conference play.

Kanani Danielson posted a match-high 19 kills with 11 digs, while Jane Croson and Alex Griffiths each recorded a team-high 12 digs, with Croson adding 14 kills.

Liz McArthur led the Aggies with 16 digs and Laurel Bodily had a match-high 21 digs.


New Mexico State 3, Louisiana Tech 0

New Mexico State swept Louisiana Tech (25-19, 25-20, 25-15) Saturday in the Pan American Center. With the win, the Aggies improve to 11-4 on the season and 1-0 in the WAC. LA Tech drops to 8-8 overall and 0-1 in conference play.

NM State out-hit the Techsters .218 to .148 and tallied a season-high nine service aces.

Meredith Hays led all players with 12 kills, while Stephanie Ziegler added 10. Kelsi Phillips had a match-high 15 digs.

LA Tech was paced by Clara Vido with eight kills.


Idaho 3, San Jose State 0
Idaho hit a season-high .322 and earned its fifth sweep of the season as it topped San Jose State 25-7, 25-19, 25-18 in Memorial Gym Saturday night. With the win, the Vandals improve to 6-8 overall and 1-1 in the WAC. The Spartans drop to 5-9 on the year and 0-2 in conference play.

Idaho finished with 48 kills, 55 digs and 9.0 total blocks, while San Jose State had 29 kills, 51 digs and 4.0 blocks, while hitting just .064 for the match, Idaho's lowest opponent hitting percentage of the season.

Allison Walker had a match-high 19 kills and recorded her second straight double-double, her fifth of the season, with 15 digs. Alyssa Schultz added 10 kills and no errors, hitting .667, the highest hitting percentage for any Vandal this season. Cassie Hamilton had 20 digs in the match, bringing her career total to 1,175, just 10 shy of moving into second place in Idaho history.

Brianna Amian led the Spartans with seven kills and seven digs.


Fresno State 3, Nevada 2
Fresno State earned a 3-2 victory (21-25, 25-22, 23-25, 25-19 and 15-10) over Nevada in WAC action Saturday. WIth the win, the Bulldogs improved to 6-7 overall and 1-0 in conference play. Nevada drops to 2-10 on the year and 0-1 in the WAC.

Fresno State outpaced the Wolf Pack in hitting percentage (.289 to .228), kills (66-56), digs (51-50), blocks (12.5-6) and points (83.5 to 71.0).

Korrin Wild recorded a career-high 23 kills in her new role as one of the Bulldogs' outside hitters. Barbara Alcantara tallied her third double-double with a career-best 56 assists and 11 digs. Freshman Jaimee-Lee Morrow and senior Brianna Clarke added 12 and 11 kills, respectively, in the five-set thriller.

Janelle Batista landed 17 kills to lead the Pack. Grace Anxo added 11 kills and nine digs, while Kelly Chang posted a match-high 18 digs.
