Hawai'i 3, Nevada 0
No.11 Hawai'i swept Nevada on Thursday, 25-15, 25-15, 25-14. The Rainbow Wahine improve to 13-1 overall and 3-0 in the WAC, while the Wolf Pack drop to 2-11 overall and 0-2 in conference play.
 
Hawai'i hit .388 on the match, compared to the .098 of Nevada. The Rainbow Wahine also had more kills (42-28), assists (39-25), service aces (8-3), digs (40-25) and blocks (8-2).

Kanani Danielson posted a match-high 13 kills along with six digs. Emily Hartong recorded nine kills and Brittany Hewitt added seven kills and four blocks.
 
Tessa Lea'ea led Nevada with seven kills and two blocks.


New Mexico State 3, Idaho 1
New Mexico State defeated Idaho in four sets (25-18, 14-25, 25-23, 25-22) in the Pan American Center Thursday. With the win, the Aggie move to 2-0 in WAC play and 12-4 overall. The Vandals drop to 6-9 overall and 1-2 in conference play.

NM State out-hit Idaho .130-.110. The Aggies also tallied more kills (52-45) and assists (47-37). Idaho had more service aces (4-2), digs (74-73) and blocks (7-5).

The Aggies were led by senior libero Kelsi Phillips, who tallied a career-high 30 digs, while Meredith Hays tallied a match-high 19 kills to go along with 10 digs for her seventh double-double of the year. Jennah DeVries handed out a match-high 42 assists and added six kills, which ties her career-high.

Alicio Milo led Idaho with 16 kills to go with eight digs, while Allison Walker posted 14 kills and 10 digs for her sixth double-double of the season.


Utah State 3, Louisiana Tech 1
Liz McArthur had 20 kills and 13 digs for her ninth double-double of the season to lead Utah State to a four-set win (25-19, 25-14, 21-25, 25-12) at Louisiana Tech Thursday. With the win, the Aggies improve to 7-9 on the season and 2-1 in league play, while Louisiana Tech falls to 8-9 overall and 0-2 in the WAC.

Utah State finished the match with a .237 hitting percentage and Louisiana Tech hit .047. USU also had 33 more digs (81-48), three more team blocks (7-4) and one more service ace (8-7), while LA Tech had one more service error (9-8).

Rachel Orr added career highs with 14 kills and 23 digs, while Shay Sorensen  finished the match with 12 kills and a .323 hitting percentage.

Marcella Braz had nine kills and nine digs for Louisiana Tech.


Fresno State 3, San Jose State 2
The Bulldogs won their second straight WAC road match with a 25-17, 26-28, 25-17, 21-25 and 15-10 over San Jose State at Spartan Gym on Thursday night. With the win, Fresno State evens its record at 7-7 on the season and improves to 2-0 in WAC play. San Jose State drops to 5-10 on the year and remains winless (0-3) in conference play.

The Bulldogs hit .200 on the match, compared to the .157 of the Spartans. Fresno State also tallied more kills (57-47), assists (53-44), service aces (10-4) and digs (52-42). San Jose State won the blocking battle, 14-10.

Korrin Wild posted a double-double of 16 kills and 13 digs, while setter Barbara Alcantara's tallied 46 assists and 12 digs

Kylie Miraldi led the Spartans with 10 kills, while Alex Akana added nine. Caitlin Andrade tallied a double-double, finishing with 36 assists and a team-high 11 digs.
