Utah State 3, UT Arlington 0
The Aggies remained atop the WAC standings with a sweep of UT Arlington (25-23, 27-25, 25-19) Thursday night at the Dee Glen Smith Center. WIth the win, Utah State improves to 16-7 overall and 11-2 in the WAC. The Mavericks fall to 8-16 on the season and 4-8 in WAC play.

Utah State hit .206 on the night, compared to the .094 of UTA. The Aggies also had more kills (47-35), assists (42-33), service aces (3-1) and digs (38-33). The Mavericks won the blocking battle, 11-10.

Rachel Orr led the Aggies with 17 kills, while Shay Sorensen added 12. Josselyn had a match-high 13 digs.

UTA was led by Shelby Dickson with nine kills. Charmaine Whitmore had seven blocks.

UTSA 3, Idaho 1
After dropping the first set, the Roadrunners came back to defeat the Vandals in four sets (25-27, 27-25, 25-22, 25-23) in WAC action Thursday at the Convocation Center. With the victory, UTSA moves to 14-8 on the year and 7-5 in WAC play. Idaho drops to 10-12 overall and 8-4 in the WAC.

Idaho out-hit UTSA .246 to .220 and won the blocking battle 12-3, but the Roadrunners had more kills (78-56), assists (71-52), service aces (5-1) and digs (95-76).

McKenzie Adams exploded for 25 kills and 19 digs. Whitney Walls added 17 kills and Brittney Malloy had 14. Annie Kunes posted a match-high 25 digs, while Brandy Huskey posted a double-double of 57 assists and 12 digs.

Allison (Walker) Baker led Idaho with 18 kills and nine digs. Alex Sele added 11 kills, while Alyssa Schultz was just shy of a double-double with eight kills and nine blocks. Jenny Feicht posted a double-double of 31 assists and 14 digs, while Janelle Chow had a team-high 22 digs.
 
Texas State 3, Seattle U 1
Texas State defeated Seattle U in four sets (25-11, 25-10, 22-25, 25-15) in WAC action Thursday. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 12-11 overall and 7-5 in the WAC. The Redhawks fall to 7-15 on the year and 2-10 in WAC play.

Texas State out-hit Seattle U .328 to .020 on the match. The Bobcats also had more kills (54-31), assists (53-30), service aces (5-3), digs (71-55) and blocks 10-5.5).

Ashlee Hilbun led Texas State with 12 kills, while Alexandra Simms added 10. Laura Whalen had a team-high 16 digs.

Seattle U was paced by Kaytlyn Dill with 12 kills and 12 digs.

San Jose State 3, Louisiana Tech 1
The Spartans defeated Louisiana Tech in sets (25-13, 25-19, 23-25, 25-17) in WAC action Thursday. With the win, the Spartans improve to 11-12 overall and 7-6 in the conference. The Lady Techsters drop to 3-21 on the season and 0-12 in WAC play.

SJSU out-hit LA Tech .200 to .069. The Spartans also tallied more kills (46-36), assists (44-33). service aces (13-5), digs (45-42) and blocks (9-5).

Mary Alice O'Reilly posted a match-high 16 kills for the Spartans. Samantha O'Connell added 11 kills, while Kiely Piper tallied a match-high 18 digs. Hanah Blume finished with nine kills, seven service aces and seven digs.

Clara Vido paced the Lady Techster with 10 kills and eight digs. Bridget Benditz added nine digs.
