New Mexico State 77, Loyola Marymount 76 (OT)
New Mexico State needed overtime to defeat Loyola Marymount 77-76 in its season opener Monday at the Pan American Center.

The Aggies shot 43 percent from the field, 28 percent from three-point range and 67 percent from the charity stripe on the game. NM State also won the rebounding battle, 46-43, though it committed 28 turnovers.

Kelsie Rozendaal led all players with 22 points and 11 rebounds. Danesia Williamson added 19 points, while Stefanie Gilbreath and Jasmine Ruteledge added 12 each.

Texas State 88, North Texas 83
In a back-and-forth game, Texas State defeated North Texas 88-83, Monday night at the Super Pit in Denton. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 2-0 on the season.

Texas State shot 46 percent from the field, 39 percent from downtown and 83 percent from the free throw line on the game. The Bobcats were out-rebounded 48-40 and turned the ball over 19 times to North Texas' 15.

Diamond Ford led all players with 23 points. Jasmine Baugus added a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds.

UTSA 88, Concordia (Texas) 29
The Roadrunners forced 35 turnovers en route to an 88-29 rout of Concordia (Texas) Monday. With the win, UTSA improves to 2-0 on the season.

The Roadrunners shot 44 percent from the field, 32 percent from three-point range and 78 percent from the free throw line on the game. UTSA also out-rebounded Concordia 49-32.

Ashley Spaletta led all players with 12 points, while Miki Turner and Akunna Elonu added 11 each and Lyndi Thorman finished with 10.

Utah Valley 78, Utah State 62
The Aggies couldn't overcome cold shooting and opened the season with a 78-62 loss at Utah Valley Monday.

Utah State shot 29 percent from the field and 17 percent from three-point range, compared to the 51 and 23 percent, respectively, of the Wolverines. The Aggies were 11-of-13 (85 percent) at the free throw line. Utah Valley won the rebounding battle, 48-43.

Devyn Christensen led Utah State with 16 points, while Jenna Johnson added 14.

South Carolina 82, Louisiana Tech 58
The Gamecocks defeated Louisiana Tech 82-58 Monday night at Thomas Assembly Center. With the loss, the Lady Techsters fall to 0-2 on the season.

LA Tech shot 39 percent from the field, 27 percent from downtown and 63 percent from the free throw line on the game. The Techsters were out-rebounded 42-26 in the loss.

Lulu Perry led LA Tech with 16 points, while Brittany Lewis and Jasmine Bryant added 10 points apiece.
