DENVER - Idaho's Rachel Millet and Northern Arizona's Kristy Ardavanis have been named the Western Athletic Conference Swimmer and Diver of the Week, respectively, for Nov. 5-11.

Millet, a sophomore from Spokane, Wash. (Ferris H.S.), won three individual events and was part of the Vandals' winning 400 medley relay team in Idaho's 177.5-122.5 win over Northern Arizona. Millet tallied a 1:52.31 in the 200 freestyle, a 23.77 in the 50 freestyle and then capped off her day by barely missing a school record in the 200 individual medley at 2:04.17. Her winning times in the 50 freestyle and the 200 IM are season bests for the WAC.

Ardavanis, a senior from Gilbert, Ariz. (Mesquite H.S.), won on 3-meter and placed second on 1-meter to lead NAU against Idaho. She took the 3-meter competition with a total score of 295.65 to win the event by nearly 13 points. Ardavanis then finished second on 1-meter at 272.55, just three points back of the winning total. She had the top 1-meter and 3-meter scores in the WAC this season and has twice been named WAC Diver of the Week already this year.

Other swimmers nominated: Northern Arizona junior Jordan Burnes and Seattle U senior Karla Ruff.

Other divers nominated: Idaho junior Paige Hunt.
