Utah State 3, Denver 2
Utah State won its school record 13th WAC match Thursday, a thrilling 3-2 win at Denver (25-20, 25-16, 17-25, 23-25, 15-12). With the win, the Aggies improve to 18-7 overall and 13-2 in WAC play. The Pioneers drop to 14-11 overall and 7-7 in the WAC with the loss.
 
Denver out-hit Utah State .189 to .183. but the Aggies had more kills (60-57), assists (56-53), aces (9-4) and digs (71-61). DU out-blocked USU 15-6.

Shay Sorensen led USU with her team-leading 11th double-double of the season of 13 kills and 13 digs. Josselyn White finished with 11 kills and nine digs, while Elle Brainard added 10 kills to go with a team-high four blocks.

Paige Neves dished out 49 assists to go along with a career-high six service aces.  Ashlan Rogers posted a match-high 20 digs.

Denver was led by Faimie Kingsley and Michele Swope with 16 kills apiece, while Brea Muhle posted 10 blocks and Colleen King added 10 kills to go with eight blocks.

New Mexico State 3, San Jose State 0
New Mexico State swept San Jose State 25-17, 25-19, 25-21 Thursday night in the Pan American Center. With the win, the Aggies improve to 18-7 and 11-3 in the WAC. The Spartans drop to 12-13 on the season and 8-7 in WAC play.

The Aggies out-hit SJSU .316 to .132. NM State also had more kills (49-33), assists (49-31), aces (4-2), digs (47-43) and blocks (8-5).

Meredith Hays posted a match-high 17 kills to go along with seven digs to lead the Aggies. Lauren Loerch added nine kills, while Taykor Livoti had four service aces.

Alex Akana paced SJSU with 10 kills.

UTSA 3, UT Arlington 0
The Roadrunners swept the Mavericks (25-17, 25-19, 25-18) in WAC action Thursday. With the win, UTSA improves to 16-8 overall and 9-5 in WAC play. UTA drops to 8-18 on the season and 4-10 in the WAC.

The Roadrunners out-hit the Mavericks .287 to .090. UTSA also had more kills (48-27), assists (45-25), aces (5-2) and digs (60-44). UTA won the blocking battle, 7-4.

McKenzie Adams led all players with 21 kills to go along with 14 digs. Brandy Huskey also posted a double-double of 38 assists and 10 digs, while Annie Kunes had a match-high 15 digs.

Taylor Gross and CHarmaine Whitmore led UTA with six kills each. Shelby Dickson and Amy Davault had 10 digs apiece.

Texas State 3, Louisiana Tech 0
Texas State swept Louisiana Tech (25-23, 25-13, 25-19) Thursday in Ruston. With the win, the Bobcats improve to 13-12 overall and 8-6 in the WAC, while Louisiana Tech drops its 28th consecutive conference match in falling to 3-23 overall and 0-14 in conference.

The Bobcats hit a season-high .376 as a team, compared to the .162 of the Lady Techsters. Texas State also had more kills (48-32), assists (46-29), aces (4-1), digs (49-41) and blocks (10-4).

Amari Deardorff posted a team-high 16 kills on .467 hitting. Caylin Mahoney finished with eight kills on .667 hitting. Caleigh McCorquodale notched her eight double-double of the season with 22 assists and 10 digs.

Dalane Guidry and Caitlin Germany posted seven kills each for LA Tech.
