Utah State 67, Prairie View A&M 66
Devyn Christensen hit a three-pointer with eight seconds remaining to give Utah State its first win of the season, a 67-66 victory over Prairie View A&M at the Great Alaska Shootout Tuesday.

The Aggies shot 43 percent from the field, 29 percent from downtown and 58 percent from the charity stripe on the game. USU won the rebounding battle, 39-34.

Christensen led all players with 24 points, while dishing out a career-high eight assists. Jenna Johnson added 10 points, seven rebounds and five assists.

Louisiana Tech 65, Central Arkansas 63
Louisiana Tech built a 15-point second-half lead, then had to withstand a Central Arkansas rally as the Lady Techsters defeated the Sugar Bears 65-63 before 2,101 fans at the Thomas Assembly Center Tuesday night. With the win, LA Tech improves to 1-3 on the season.

The Lady Techsters shot 38 percent from the field, 25 percent from three-point range and 81 percent from the free throw line on the game. LA Tech was edged on the boards, 36-35.

Jelena Vucinic led the Lady Techsters with 17 points, while Brittany Lewis added 14 points, Whitney Frazier had 13 and Kelia Shelton had 12.

Rice 73, Texas State 61
Texas State suffered its first loss of the season Tuesday, falling 73-61 to Rice. With the loss, the Bobcats drop to 2-1 on the season.

Texas State shot 30 percent from the field, 27 percent from three-point range and 61 percent from the free throw line on the game. The Bobcats were out-rebounded 63-36.

Diamond Ford led Texas State with 25 points, while Jasmine Baugus added 15 points and eight rebounds. Kaylan Martin finished with eight rebounds and a game-high six assists.

New Mexico 60, New Mexico State 37
The Aggies fell 60-37 at New Mexico Tuesday. With the loss, NM State drops to 1-2 on the season.

The Aggies shot 22 percent from the field, 60 percent from three-point range and were 0-for-18 from beyond the arc in the loss. NM State edged the Lobos on the boards, 44-43.

Danesia Williamson and Stefanie Gilbreath led New Mexico State iwth 10 points each.
