New Mexico State 79, Louisiana-Lafayette 57
LAS CRUCES, N.M. (NMSU Media Relations)-The New Mexico State men's basketball team downed Louisiana, 79-57, with five players in double figures. Senior forward Bandja Sy had a season-high 16 points to help the Aggies improve to 3-3 on the season.
Sy was 6-of-8 from the field including 2-for-2 from the 3-point line. He blocked four of the nine shots, which was a season-best showing. Senior forward Tyrone Watson and junior guard Kevin Aronis both scored 12 points, which was a personal-best for Aronis. Sophomore guard K.C. Ross-Miller also supplied the offense with 11. Junior center Tshilidzi Nephawe posted his second double-double of the year with 10 points and a career-high 11 rebounds.

New Mexico 73, Idaho 58
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – (UI Media Relations) University of Idaho men’s basketball was shooting above 50 percent from the field and had a lead midway through the second half at New Mexico, but a 19-0 changed the tide of the game in a 73-58 loss on Friday.
After a pair of Kyle Barone free throws put the Idaho (1-3) men ahead of New Mexico (5-0) by a 49-46 score at the 14:14 mark of the second half, the Lobos responded with a 19-0 scoring run during which Idaho turned the ball over six times and missed 10 consecutive shots.

Loyola Marymount 78, Texas State 63
Anchorage, Alaska –(Texas State Media Relations) Texas State (2-3) wasn't able to move past Loyola Marymount (3-2), as it fell today to the Lions, 78-63, at the Carrs/Safeway Great Alaska Shootout. The Bobcats shared the ball well, but they couldn't overcome a Loyola Marymount team that dominated on the boards (48-32).
The Bobcats trailed the Lions at the half, 33-28, but a Wesley Davis bucket to start the second half cut the Lions lead to three points. A couple of plays later, Corey Stern made a free throw to trim the Lions lead to two points.
