New Mexico State 69, UTEP 68
Despite trailing by nine at halftime, New Mexico State beat previously undefeated UTEP 69-68 at the Pan American Center on Wednesday. With the win, the Aggies move to 4-2 on the season.
NM State shot 36 percent from the field, 46 percent from three-point range and 85 percent from the free throw line on the night. The Aggies were out-rebounded 45-38.
Danesia Williamson led NM State with a career-high 23 points, while Stefanie Gilbreath added 22 points and eight rebounds.
Oklahoma State 90, Texas State 55
The Bobcats fell 90-55at No. 17 Oklahoma State Wednesday night. With the loss, Texas State drops to 3-2 on the season.
The Bobcats shot 30 percent from the field, 25 percent from three-point range and 55 percent from the free throw line. Texas State was out-rebounded 67-34.
Erin Peeples and Ashley Ezeh had 16 points apiece to lead the Bobcats. Jasmine Baugus added 11 points.
